Ever considered using youtube or any other video sites to learn grammar? As many of our students are actually screen rather than book-oriented, why not use the advantages offered by the net? I’m not 100% sure about this, but that might be the solution for those of you who don’t seem to concentrate and grasp the information found in books. At least, you might as well give it a try and see how it goes. There’s nothing to lose and maybe a lot to be gained.
By doing something as simple as googling ‘English grammar youtube videos’ up, you’ll find hundreds of interesting
sites. Hopefully, if you find one that really makes the difference, you’ll let
me know. Otherwise, just type ‘English
grammar videos’ to check for other sites that haven’t been uploaded on
youtube.
You’re likely to find many webpages which are actually for kids, but don’t
let that stop you. If you’re still stuck with something like –let’s say– the
Present Simple, maybe it’s time to face up to the truth and rise to the
challenge. Just go back to the basics, pal –and then work your way up to your actual course
level (Bachillerato, Ciclo… whatever).
So, hope you give it a try and let me know how it goes. Remember that fun
should always be part of the equation. If you’re having fun and learning at the
same time, that means you’re on the right track. Rock on! (find a couple of quick examples below)
