I just found this video on the Internet about astrological signs.
It should come very handy for some of my students, although everyone can benefit from it. The second part of the video is actually the same as the first one, this time with subtitles. So watch the first part and see what you get (here, 'get' means 'understand'), then watch the next bit with subtitles and check whether it makes a difference.
By the way, noticed the post's title? When you ask about someone's personality, we use 'to be like', as in 'What's Lola like?'. We want to know about Lola's personality, not what she looks like.
To ask about someone's appearance, we use 'to look like', as in 'What does Pedro look like?'. Here, we want to know about Pedro's physical appearance.
To answer both questions, though, we often use 'to be' (or 'have got' and 'look' when describing someone's appearance), so Lola is fun but hard-working (personality), and Pedro looks quite attractive, has got black hair and is slim (appearance).
See you all around.
PS While on Youtube, don't miss the chance to watch more videos from the same series.
