So here I am. My name is Ed,
as most of you know by now, but that doesn’t matter much because the real
protagonist of this activity is YOU.
For people outside our small
circle, maybe I should mention that the objective of this blog is for those students
from Madrid, Spain working directly under my
supervision to be able to upload stuff related to our courses: basically things
we do in class, such as writings, readings or videos. We could upload, for
instance, the best writing exercise of the month, or an interview made and
filmed by the students themselves.
The truth is I’m not really
sure what’s going to be on the blog; it is open to everything and nothing,
although of course I’m hoping that in time it’ll become a fun, useful tool in
our learning process (not just yours, also mine).
Anyway, we’re not uploading
and showcasing our work just for the sake of being seen out there. It’s also
there to benefit others, and not just the students I teach but also anyone
studying at our same high-school or elsewhere, be it Spain or outside Europe.
So I guess I haven’t got much
left to say. Only one thing: I’m hoping to hear from you. Any activities
or improvements you may suggest will be taken on board by the blog and analyzed
(by us all), so please speak up, don’t be shy and tell us what you think.
Also, I’ve forgotten to say
there is, as far as I can see, only one rule for this blog: anything you may
want to say has to be said in English. No other languages allowed, and no
exceptions, ok?
Anyway, I’ll be seeing and
talking to you. Take good care of
yourselves.
PS If any of you sends an e-mail and I seem not to answer, please remind me in class. I may have forgotten to check my e-mail address.
